A Tribute to Colonel James Crowther's Civil War Weekend

Saturday and Sunday were busy days for Tyrone as many were on hand to honor Colonel James E. Crowther who served and died in the Civil War. Numerous activities were held over the weekend, including an encampment at Railroad Park, ceremonies and a concert at City Hotel Park, and a memorial church service, to name a few. Units participating included: Hampton’s Battery F, Pennsylvania Light Artillery; 148th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry Regiment, Company C and the 46th Pennsylvania Regiment Band (The Logan Guard).
